With our expertise and global presence, we can offer our business customers a broad portfolio of green products and services. By providing detailed  Carbon Reports, we show them where they stand in terms of CO2 emissions. In our Green Optimization service, we work with customers to identify areas for improvement, and ways to achieve carbon reduction and improve their overall environmental performance. And to compensate for unavoidable CO2 emissions, we offer a Carbon Neutral service.

Environmental protection is an integral component of our business strategy. In 2008, we became the first logistics company to introduce a quantifiable climate goal. By 2020 we aim to increase the carbon efficiency of our own operations and those of our transport subcontractors by 30 percent compared with the baseline year of 2007. Thanks to our modern fleet, optimized delivery routes and employee commitment, we reached our first interim goal in 2010 – two years earlier than planned: We improved the carbon efficiency of our own aircraft, vehicles and buildings by 10 percent compared with 2007.

To measure our progress, we have integrated carbon accounting into our financial accounting system. The carbon emission calculations are based on our fuel and electricity consumption data. This is combined with operations data from our divisions. This highly accurate method of calculation earned us the “Green Controlling Award” in November 2011, which was awarded for the first time by the Péter Horváth Foundation.
