My DHL Experience

I joined DHL through the global AIESEC internship program as part of the process migration project team for DHL Asia Pacific HR Shared Services.

As a HR Shared Services Manager, I lead a team of experts providing Payroll, Employee Data Administration and HR contact centre services for DHL entities in the Asia Pacific region. This role is richly impacting as I get involved & work across different business lines locally and globally, as well as contribute at operational and strategic levels.

I have also gained a wealth of experience in Process Migration & Optimization, Employee Communication, Lean Six Sigma implementation, Team Management and Learning & Development. I will soon be moving in to a new role as part of a Lean Operations global initiative. This will involve implementation of productivity-related initiatives focussed on transforming our organization into a Lean Enterprise.

My proudest moment was when two employees from the team I managed received ‘Employee of the Quarter’ recognition, with one of them receiving the regional ‘Employee of the Year’ award.

My DHL Experience

My journey at DHL started in 1993 when I accepted a temporary admin job and soon after moved to DHL Express in Belgium as a Key Account Manager.

I later worked in the UK as Sector Manager and in Belgium as a Global Account Manager in Financial Services. In 2004, I moved to the first ever global logistics sales organization - DHL Global Customer Solutions - in the Life Sciences & Healthcare industry as Regional Customer Manager.

In my current role, I am responsible for managing a team, focussing on growing our Group & individual potential and how to face our daily challenges on commercial and operational level across all of DHL's Business Units.
Together with our global and regional colleagues, we translate the corporate Deutsche Post DHL and Life, Sciences & Healthcare industry strategy to our specific customers' needs and challenges. We work together with all DHL business units to align product development and commercial strategies.

DHL is the most international environment I could have wished to work in. While developing solutions for our customers in the Life Sciences & Healthcare industry, we assist them in keeping safe and sometimes even saving lives of patients.
