Customer Advisory: Customs Clearance Requirements in India

Please be aware that the customs clearance process for all Parcel (WPX)shipments to India can only be initiated after the consignee has provided “Know Your Customer” (KYC) documents and an “Authorization letter”.

DHL is working closely with Customs and consignees in India to ensure that the clearance process runs efficiently. However, clearance delays may be possible where these documents are not made available by the consignee to DHL.
