The labor dispute of the union of Air Traffic Controllers (GdF) is going on with a 48 hour strike from Monday 20.02 05:00 until Wednesday 22.02. 05:00.

• On Friday (17.02.) 301 out of 1,082 flights were cancelled.
• Ground handler Fraport and carriers are better prepared for the strike and can handle appr. 70% of the 1,200 daily scheduled flights.
• Lufthansa has cancelled appr. 100 flights (Domestic and Continental flights – Intercontinental flights are mostly not affected).
• On Tuesday 21.02. mail from Deutsche Post DHL to some European IPC members (SE, NO, FI, IS, ES, PT, PL, HU, SK) will be transported by road, so please expect some delays in arrival.

At this time we cannot predict the end of the strike actions.

Please be advised that due to a strike at Frankfurt Airport on Thursday/Friday, February 16-17, 2012, all inbound and outbound flights to and from Frankfurt, especially to and from South America and Asia, are expected to be severely impacted.
