We at DHL Express are committed to providing our customers with the best delivery network, which is why we are continuing to offer coverage to more parts of the world than any other company. However, due to the high degree of inaccessibility of some areas, additional costs are incurred.

Effective Nov 1 2003, DHL Express is therefore introducing a Remote Area Service. The charge will be RMB125.00 per shipment or RMB 2.5 per kilo (whichever is higher) for shipments sent from China to remote areas and/or for shipments imported into China from remote areas. Shipments to or from remote areas within China will not be subject to these charges.

Rest assured that our charges remain fair and reasonable - they are lower than those of our major competitors. With DHL’s vast network and infrastructure, it is also good to know that less than 2% of our shipments are currently delivered to remote locations.
