An open and self-confident attitude toward homosexuality is increasingly being accepted worldwide. Today, homosexual women and men also are more willing to stand up for their sexual identity at their work place. That willingness, however, requires an open, appreciative corporate culture - that is, a diversity culture.
This attitude produces tangible benefits for the company. It manages to gain employees' long-term trust, and to boost their motivation and job satisfaction. A company that declares its respect for people in all of their diversity as part of its corporate culture also substantially enhances its image among homosexual customers. In addition, a company's innovative strength has been shown to expand when it manages to tap the manifold potential of all employees.
