How did you come to DHL?

I studied and lived in Delhi, India and then moved into Mumbai (Bombay) with DHL. And then DHL offered me a position to work in Asia-Pacific. I got the opportunity to move to Singapore. So I’ve been here since last September and I love it here.

What does your job at DHL involve?

My job is sales and business development for the fashion and retail business for DHL express. It involves a lot of interaction with my teams across Asia-Pacific. Together we develop the products and solutions to grow the business in this segment. It all fits very well for me and I like working here.


Who do you work with in your job?

I don’t have a direct reporting team but within my team in Singapore I work with various departments. If for example a customer proposal needs to be given then I have a pricing team which can put the pricing together. Or we work with the marketing to set up processes to develop a product or packaging or whatever. So there are cross-functional teams plus my sales teams in various countries I work with.


Who are your clients?

I work for the fashion and retail industry. This includes sportswear brands like Adidas, Reebok, Nike or apparel brands like GAP, Timberland, Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle or any of the European brands. It also includes the retailers like Carrefour, METRO and H&M. They are all top DHL customers.
