HAULIERS ANNOUNCE NATIONWIDE BLOCKADE IN DENMARK

The Danish hauliers are planning an action that is expected to lead to the blockade of important traffic junctions all across the country. The blockade is expected to begin on Monday 15 May at 6 AM with no fixed end time.

The planned action is a protest against the political agreement between the government and several other parties, which contains a kilometer-based road tax for trucks running on diesel or petrol. The road tax, which is part of the green transition, aims to reduce CO2 emissions and is scheduled to enter take effect on 1 January 2025.

Of course, we do not support these actions, but we must nevertheless expect that traffic all across the country may be affected. This can obviously lead to delays in both pickups and deliveries on May 15 and the following days.

We do not know how this will turn out, but we are monitoring the situation closely and will of course take the necessary precautions in relation to our transports. We encourage our customers to follow the situation via the Danish media.
