ROMANIA INTRODUCES QUARANTINE FOR ALL TRAVELERS FROM DENMARK - Update
November 26, 2020
According to the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs' website, Romania has now cancelled the quarantine requirement for all travelers from Denmark:
"The travel guide for Romania was last updated on November 23th 2020, as the Romanian authorities have cancelled the requirement for home isolation for travelers coming from Denmark.
The security level for the whole country remains orange (we advise against all unnecessary travel) because Romania still does not meet the criteria for low infection rates in the EU and Schengen travel guide model."
November 17, 2020
On November 13, Romania updated their restrictions for all travelers coming from Denmark. This means that all travelers from Denmark are now subject to a 14-days quarantine upon arrival in Romania. The new restrictions also apply to drivers who have been in Denmark – regardless of the length of stay. The only exception is drivers, who can document that they are only going to transit Romania.
So far there has been no concrete announcements about how long the new restrictions will apply.
Major irregularities must therefore be expected on part and full load shipments to and from Romania in the coming period. We expect that all groupage shipments will be handled as usual.
We are currently working on alternative solutions, and we will keep you informed of any changes in the situation.
