DHL EXPRESS KOREA DELIVERS ICE HOCKEY EQUIPMENT TO THE WINTER OLYMPICS NATIONAL TEAM

• Provides complete logistics service to the men’s national ice hockey team taking part in the final Winter Olympics qualification in Norway
• Transported over 33 tons of ice hockey equipment to 15 locations since the official partnership with the South Korean national ice hockey team was signed in 2015

DHL Express, the world’s leading international express services provider, has provided full logistics support to the men’s national ice hockey team participating in the final qualification round of Beijing Winter Olympics Games scheduled in 2022.

At the qualification round taking place in Oslo, Norway from Aug. 26 to 29, the Korean national team will compete with Norway, Denmark, and Slovenia within the same group for one spot to advance to the Winter Olympics. DHL Express Korea will transport national team’s personal effects and team equipment including uniforms, hockey sticks, helmets, gloves, etc. needed for the matches in Norway and bring them back to Korea after they are ended.

Moving around 1.7 tons of ice hockey equipment in 7 specially designed on-demand boxes, DHL’s dedicated team of experts will take care of all logistics processes from paperwork, pick-up, and customs clearance to final delivery. In fact, since the beginning of the partnership in 2015, DHL Express Korea has been providing international logistics support to the national teams’ competitions and off-season trainings around the globe by transporting over 33 tons of equipment to more than 15 locations.
