HEAR FROM JACQUI REED
Use three words to describe the culture of DHL.
Innovative, engaging, collaborative.
Tell us why you chose DHL and about your experience in the DHL Graduate Program.
DHL’s graduate program allows you to hit the ground running. I was interested by the ability to work in many different areas of the business and gain exposure to all sectors here in NZ.
What do you find interesting about the supply chain industry?
It’s consistently changing and evolving. How we operate today and what our operating environment is in 5-10 years will be vastly different, so it’s exciting to work in an industry where there is an opportunity to improve on yesterday, every day.
If I asked a colleague or a friend to describe you in 3 words, what do you think they will say?
Passionate, driven, friendly.
What has been your key learning as part of the program?
That you can do anything you put your mind to. I have been so fortunate to be given opportunities to develop myself and grow with the business. Teamwork is pivotal, so by sharing ideas and working collaboratively it helps you give the best of yourself and get the best out of those around you.
What accomplishment in your program journey are you most proud of and why?
Throughout the course of the program, I was most proud of the relationships I was able to build with stakeholders within the business. It didn’t matter if you were a pick/packer, a manager or a director, the ability to engage with those who help to drive this business forward is something I’m immensely grateful for.
