DHL Supply Chain and Thaifoods Group Establish Strategic Partnership to Launch Centralized Multi-Temperature Fulfillment Center in Thailand
Press Release: Bangkok, 18 March 2026
- The partnership enhances supply chain visibility, inventory accuracy, and scalability, supporting Thaifoods Group’s growth while reinforcing DHL’s leadership in temperature-controlled logistics.
- The facility operates under strict safety standards, ensuring full regulatory compliance across ambient, chilled, and frozen environments.
DHL Supply Chain Thailand (DHL) is accelerating its early-year market expansion through a strategic partnership with Thaifoods Group, one of Thailand’s leading integrated food producers specializing in poultry and swine production. Under the agreement, DHL will provide dedicated warehousing services to support Thaifoods Group’s nationwide distribution operations. The partnership represents a significant strengthening of Thailand’s cold chain and multi-temperature logistics infrastructure at a time when the food industry is scaling operations and tightening quality controls to remain competitive in both domestic and export markets.
As part of the collaboration, DHL will establish a Centralized Fulfillment Center at its Multi-User Facility in Wangnoi, Ayutthaya. The facility is purpose-built to operate as a fully integrated multi-temperature hub, managing ambient, chilled, and frozen product categories within a single, centralized operation. Designed to ensure efficient, compliant, and seamless handling of Thaifoods Group’s diversified product portfolio, the center will also enhance end-to-end supply chain visibility, control, and inventory accuracy. The initiative reflects a broader industry shift toward centralized inventory management models aimed at increasing transparency, eliminating operational redundancies, and improving supply chain agility. By consolidating warehousing operations into a strategically located hub, Thaifoods Group seeks to optimize stock accuracy, reduce lead times, and drive greater efficiency across its nationwide distribution network.
At the Wangnoi facility, DHL Supply Chain will deliver Ambient Warehouse Management services for grocery products such as dry packaged foods and cooking ingredients. In parallel, Chilled Cross-Dock operations will be managed within a strictly controlled temperature range of 0°C to 4°C, supporting perishable grocery items including processed meats such as meatballs and sausages, as well as ready-to-cook products requiring rapid throughput and precise temperature control. In addition, Frozen Warehouse Management will cover products requiring storage below -18°C, including frozen and ready-to-eat food products such as processed meats and cooking ingredients.
Operations will be supported by integrated warehouse management systems (WMS) designed to provide real-time, end-to-end visibility, enhanced traceability, and tighter inventory control across all temperature zones. This digital infrastructure will enable more accurate demand planning, reduce shrinkage, and support data-driven decision-making throughout the supply chain. The facility will operate in full compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards, ensuring stringent food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory adherence across ambient, chilled, and frozen environments.
The collaboration builds upon an existing relationship between the two companies. DHL and Thaifoods Group previously partnered in 2021 to provide transportation services, laying the foundation for deeper operational integration. The current agreement focuses exclusively on warehousing, reflecting Thaifoods Group’s evolving supply chain strategy and its increased emphasis on centralized inventory management, operational transparency, and scalable infrastructure to support long-term growth.
.Steve Walker, Chief Executive Officer, DHL Supply Chain Thailand Cluster, said “Food logistics requires disciplined execution and robust infrastructure. Managing multiple temperature requirements under one roof demands precision, system integration, and strict compliance controls. Our Wangnoi temperature-controlled facility has been purpose-built to deliver that level of operational excellence, supported by advanced systems and rigorous safety standards. Through this partnership, we are very proud to strengthen Thaifoods Group’s supply chain resilience with a transparent, scalable warehousing model. Integrating ambient, chilled, and frozen capabilities within a single fulfillment hub enhances operational flexibility while reducing complexity, enabling better coordination, faster turnaround times, stronger compliance oversight, and ultimately supporting both cost efficiency and service excellence.”
Santi Wutisela, Assistant Vice President, Poultry Farm Business Group and Supply Chain Management, Thaifoods Group, said, “This partnership carries strategic importance in supporting our growth trajectory. As our business expands, we require a warehousing partner capable of managing the complexities of temperature-controlled products while delivering consistent service standards. The establishment of a Centralized Fulfillment Center with DHL will streamline inventory management, enhance nationwide distribution efficiency, and safeguard the quality standards our customers expect. Maintaining product integrity across varied temperature requirements is fundamental to our customer trust, and this collaboration provides the infrastructure and expertise necessary to support our long-term expansion.”
For DHL Supply Chain, the agreement reinforces its position as a leading provider of multi-temperature logistics solutions in Thailand, amid continued growth in the food and consumer sector driven by urbanization, modern retail expansion, and rising demand for convenience products. By further strengthening its temperature-controlled warehousing capabilities, DHL continues to expand its footprint in a sector that requires high operational standards and technological precision. As Thailand advances its position as a regional food production and export hub, the partnership with Thaifoods Group aligns with a strategic effort to build a resilient, scalable supply chain platform capable of supporting sustained domestic and international growth.
