DHL SUPPORTS L'ORÉAL BRASIL SOLIDARITY PROGRAM TO COMBAT COVID-19

Press Release: Rio de Janeiro, 04/29/2020

DHL announced that it will support the L´Oréal Brasil solidarity program to combat the spread of Covid-19 in the country. DHL Supply Chain, the world’s leading contract logistics provider, is one of the companies responsible for collecting, shipping and transporting products from L'Oréal's Distribution Center to local NGOs bases, from where they proceed to deliver in smaller volumes to people in Rocinha poor community complex in Rio de Janeiro. In total, more than 750 thousand units of alcohol gel and other hygiene products from L´Oréal will be donated.

L´Oréal Brasil is producing 170 tons of alcohol gel at its São Paulo plant to donate to public hospitals and poor communities. In addition to the free distribution of alcohol gel, the company will also donate other hygiene and personal care products. The first delivery of these products was carried out last week, in the Rocinha community.

“We are very proud of our solidarity plan and we are happy to have DHL as a partner in this very challenging context, in which we have to join forces”, highlights Helio Neto, Logistics Coordinator at L´Oréal Brasil.

“It is a pleasure to support this noble initiative by L'Oréal, which meets DHL's purpose of connecting people and improving lives, especially at a time when logistics has an even more essential role in ensuring that vital products are delivered with the necessary agility for those who need it ", says Alexandre Kabarite, General Manager of Operations at DHL Supply Chain.
