Information on possible complications during shipments

Dear customers,

On Thursday, Germany included the Czech Republic in the list of foreign areas with the occurrence of dangerous coronavirus mutations and plans to significantly reduce cross-border travel.

For this reason, we would like to inform you about possible complications in the transport of consignments, which are related to the newly introduced measures at the entrance to Germany.

The reason is the discussed introduction of mandatory tests on Covid-19 for truck drivers coming to Germany from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Tyrol (Austria) by the German Ministry of Health and individual federal states. These measures could ultimately delay the shipment of consignments both to Germany and to countries where Germany is used for transit.

DHL Freight CZ does its utmost to ensure that shipments take place without delay and without restrictions, however, we cannot influence the measures of the German side and the associated impacts on logistics operations.

Price list change for domestic pallets

Change of price lists for domestic pallet transportation in the Czech Republic (DHL Freight EuroConnect Domestic), valid from 1 January 2021

Thank you for your kindness and cooperation in this difficult year. Together, we have been able to successfully meet the new challenges that circumstances have prepared for us.

We are glad that in recent months we have put into operation new technologies and procedures for ordering and monitoring shipments. Also in 2021, we will continue in digitalization.

We would like to inform you that in response to the growing input costs, the persistent shortage of drivers, the increase in toll rates and the need for further investment in modernizing the transportation network, we must adjust the standard prices for domestic pallet services.

From 1 January 2021, there will be an increase in prices for the following products:

Before receiving the shipment, customers are informed from the given email address that DHL will require the payment of a special fee in order to deliver the goods. DHL does not withhold any shipments and does not condition their delivery by paying a fee.

Please note that DHL does not require any payments in this way.

DHL Freight CZ service information

Operation of DHL Freight CZ s.r.o. is not restricted and we continue to provide shipments in full with NO restrictions.  


Being aware of the importance of safe shipment, we are introducing a variety of preventive measures to protect the health of both our workers and our customers.

The following measures have been introduced

  • Our drivers are equipped with drapes and protective gloves.
  • At all workplaces we pay attention to increased hygiene in the form of antibacterial agents and educational wall notifications. Employees were informed about ways to minimize the risk of infection. We have also increased the frequency of workplace cleaning.
  • We actively communicate not only with our employees, but also with our drivers and carriers and other partners. All drivers are trained to protect themselves when delivering consignments while respecting our customers' precautions.
  • We are working on the preparation of possible scenarios in the event of a worsening of the situation in order to be fully prepared.
  • We follow all recommendations from government agencies and the parent company of Deutsche Post DHL Group.
