Italy: Strike affects terminal operations and transport

A national strike in Italy on November 27–28 will cause significant disruptions to terminal operations and, consequently, to domestic Italian transport as well as international shipments passing through Italy. The strike is expected to impact loading and unloading activities as well as pickup and delivery schedules at several main network terminals.

The strike will last from November 27 at 21:00 until November 28 at 21:00. Delays may also occur before and after this period due to fluctuations in staffing levels.

Impact on shipments to and from Finland

The strike will cause delays to DHL Freight shipments to Italy and those routed through Italy, affecting both imports and exports.
