Limited Ferry Capacity May Cause Delays to Nordic Shipments in September

Maintenance work on Viking Line's vessels Viking Glory and Viking Grace, as well as the dry docking of Tallink Silja's Baltic Princess, will reduce freight capacity on the Turku-Stockholm route during September. The situation may cause delays to DHL Freight's Nordic shipments.

Viking Line's vessels Viking Glory and Viking Grace will be out of service on the Turku-Stockholm route due to maintenance work as follows:

• Viking Glory will be taken out of service on Monday, 7 September 2026, at 07:35 upon arrival in Turku. The vessel will return to service on Thursday, 10 September 2026, departing Turku at 08:45.
• Viking Grace will be taken out of service on Monday, 7 September 2026, at 19:50 upon arrival in Turku. The vessel will return to service on Thursday, 10 September 2026, departing Turku at 20:55.

In addition, Tallink Silja's Baltic Princess will be in dry dock from 13 to 16 September 2026. The vessel will be taken out of service in Turku on Sunday, 13 September 2026, at 18:30 and will return to service on Wednesday, 16 September 2026, at 19:30.

The maintenance and docking periods will reduce the freight capacity available for Nordic traffic. Shipments will be rerouted to alternative connections whenever possible, but the situation may cause delays to DHL Freight shipments using the Turku-Stockholm route.
