DHL Freight Finland and Kaukokiito to Begin Domestic Transport Partnership

DHL Freight (Finland) Oy and Suomen Kaukokiito Oy have signed a letter of intent to initiate a partnership covering the delivery of DHL Freight’s domestic transport services in Finland. The agreement will take effect on March 1, 2026.

The collaboration between DHL Freight and Kaukokiito will benefit both companies’ customers. Kaukokiito’s customers will gain seamless access to international markets through DHL Freight’s extensive global network. Meanwhile, DHL Freight’s customers will benefit from high-quality domestic transport services in Finland, enabled by Kaukokiito’s nationwide distribution network and the strong expertise of its local carriers.

Petri Angervuori, Managing Director of Kaukokiito, welcomes the opportunity to combine Kaukokiito’s strong domestic capabilities with DHL Freight’s international network.

The company is responsible for DHL’s road freight services in Finland, with a comprehensive network that transports shipments both domestically and internationally. Suomen Kaukokiito Oy is a logistics expert organization that has served Finnish business for over 70 years. The company is owned by four carriers: Kuljetusliike Y. Auramaa Oy, Kuljetusliike Ilmari Lehtonen Oy, Kuljetusliike Kantola & Koramo Oy, and Kuljetusliike Taipale Oy. Together, they are responsible for the transport and terminal operations of the Kaukokiito network across Finland.
