DHL's Companies in Finland Have Received the Great Place to Work® Certification!
Press Release: 17.06.2025
All DHL companies operating in Finland have been awarded the prestigious Great Place to Work® certification. This recognition is based on employee experiences and is particularly significant as an achievement in the logistics sector, where such certifications are rarely seen.
"This is a very pleasing and significant recognition for us. It indicates that people working at DHL in different companies and across Finland find their work meaningful and feel that their work community is supportive and equitable," says Veli-Matti Qvintus, CEO Cluster Finland, Norway & Baltics, DHL Global Forwarding.
This year, all four DHL companies operating in Finland participated in the survey for the first time. "In the DHL community, we want to build a workplace where everyone can develop, feel valued, and be themselves. The Great Place to Work recognition shows that we have succeeded in this – together with our employees."
An equitable and appreciative workplace DHL's companies in Finland received very high scores in the Great Place to Work® survey, particularly regarding workplace equity. "Our employees experience DHL in Finland as an exceptionally equitable workplace where everyone can be themselves and feel seen and heard. This is also strongly reflected in the results of employee surveys. It is wonderful that it now receives the official recognition from Great Place to Work," says Paula Mölsä, HR Director of DHL Supply Chain (Finland) Oy.
A rare achievement in the logistics sector In the logistics sector, the Great Place to Work® certification is rare due to the nature of the work and the operating environment. Employees often work in shifts, in physically demanding roles, and in decentralized teams across the country – in offices, warehouses, terminals, and on the road. Leadership, communication, and building a sense of belonging require special attention when employees do not interact as naturally in their daily lives as they would in a typical office environment.
"The certification indicates that we have successfully built a culture that transcends job tasks, shifts, and locations – where every employee feels valued," says Kai Wicklund, CEO of DHL Freight.
Great Place to Work® is a globally recognized expert organization that evaluates workplaces based on employee surveys. This year, all four DHL companies operating in Finland – DHL Express, DHL Freight, DHL Global Forwarding, and DHL Supply Chain – participated in the survey for the first time. For both DHL Freight and DHL Global Forwarding, this was their first certification. DHL Supply Chain received certification for the second time, while DHL Express has been certified every year since 2019.
DHL Express CEO Oktay Nuri considers receiving the certification a very valuable achievement. "We humbly accept the recognition we have received from our employees again this year. It is also wonderful that we get to celebrate this joint certification with other DHL companies in Finland for the first time," says Nuri.
