DHL Express: Treviso Facility Certified According to the TAPA FSR Standard

Press Release: Treviso, Italy / 3 February 2026

DHL Express has had its Service Center in Treviso, Italy certified according to the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) Facility Security Requirements (FSR). The certification is part of the company’s efforts to strengthen security levels within the European network and is included in a global initiative to enhance security infrastructure.

TAPA FSR is an internationally recognized standard for securing high-value goods in logistics chains. With the Treviso facility, DHL Express now has more than 500 TAPA‑certified sites worldwide.

According to Adrian Whelan, SVP Global Security at DHL Express, the certification demonstrates that the facility meets the requirements for control and secure operations. Italy now has 21 DHL facilities certified according to the TAPA FSR 2023 A standard.

The Treviso facility serves as an important hub for Northeastern Italy, with direct connections to airports in Venice, Leipzig, and Milan Malpensa. The facility handles shipments to over 220 international destinations and is built according to DHL’s carbon neutral building guidelines, including solar panels and charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.

In Norway, DHL Express is the only air express company with more than one TAPA certification. All 10 DHL Express facilities in the country are TAPA FSR certified, ensuring maximum shipment security.
