Answering the call when disaster strikes

The DHL Disaster Response Team (DRT) was established globally in 2005 and since has been deployed 52 times. With 886 volunteers, 41 of them from the Americas, the DRT has helped those in most need when a disaster strikes. 

In the latest edition of the “Made in the Americas” podcast, we delve into the world of humanitarian logistics and gain insight into the type of work the DRT does during deployment. 

You'll meet Gilberto Castro, Disaster Response Team Director for the Americas, and Senior Director of Operations for DHL Express Colombia. Gilberto talks about the role of the DRT and his most moving personal experience during a deployment, among other topics.
