DHL Express Shipment SMS Messages May Be Filtered as Spam
April 02, 2026
Some text messages sent to recipients regarding DHL Express shipments may not appear in the phone’s main message inbox. This affects certain Android mobile devices in particular, especially shipments requiring customs clearance where recipient action is needed to proceed with delivery.
If you are expecting a message related to customs clearance or delivery, please also check your SMS spam or junk folder.
The issue is caused by changes made to spam filtering on Android messaging applications, as a result of which some text messages may be directed to the spam folder (e.g. in the Google Messages app). In such cases, the message may go unnoticed and shipment processing may be delayed.
Work to find a permanent solution is ongoing. As a temporary measure, we will increase customer communications via email whenever possible.
We apologize for any inconvenience this situation may cause.
