DHL Companies in Finland Once Again Great Place to Work® Certified

Press Release: June 01, 2026

All DHL Group companies operating in Finland have achieved Great Place to Work® certification again in 2026. The companies were evaluated together as a single entity for the second time.

The Great Place to Work® certification is based on employees’ own experiences of their workplace. This year, the survey once again included DHL Express, DHL Freight, DHL Global Forwarding and DHL Supply Chain.

“An enormous thank you for this recognition goes to all of our more than 1,000 DHL employees working in Finland. Warm thanks to each and every one of you—your everyday efforts and collaboration are directly reflected in how we are experienced as a workplace,” says Juha Kallunki, Managing Director of DHL Global Forwarding.

Success in a challenging operating environment

The logistics sector has undergone exceptionally rapid change in recent years. Global supply chains have been affected by geopolitical tensions, such as the unstable situation in the Middle East, as well as other international disruptions.

Despite the challenging operating environment, DHL’s Finnish companies have succeeded in maintaining a strong employee experience and in developing their work community in a long-term, consistent manner.

“We operate in an industry where change is constant and external pressures can be significant. That is why it is particularly meaningful that we have been able to preserve a positive work atmosphere and support our people even in uncertain times,” says Oktay Nuri, Managing Director of DHL Express.

A significant recognition in a demanding industry

Great Place to Work® certification is a rare achievement in the logistics sector. Work is often carried out in shifts and across decentralized environments—warehouses, terminals, offices and transport operations—which places special demands on leadership and the building of a sense of community.

“It is rewarding to see that we have succeeded in building a culture that connects people regardless of their role, location or shift. This is reflected in our employees’ sense of belonging,” says Kai Wicklund, Managing Director of DHL Freight.

Employee feedback drives continuous development

Great Place to Work® is a globally respected workplace culture authority, whose assessment is based on employees’ experiences. The recognition also provides companies with valuable insights into the strengths and development areas of their work community.

Antti Saarinen, Country Manager of DHL Supply Chain, emphasizes the importance of feedback in driving improvement:

“When the recognition comes directly from our employees, it makes it especially meaningful to us. At the same time, it gives us valuable direction on where we can still improve. At DHL, we want to continuously develop our operations together with our people to make them even better.”
