DHL is One of the Best Workplaces in Finland
Press Release: March 27, 2026
The Finnish DHL companies have been awarded the Great Place to Work® certification, which is based on employees’ assessment of their workplace culture. In the nationwide comparison, DHL ranked sixth in the large companies category.
Since 2025, the DHL companies operating in Finland – DHL Express, DHL Global Forwarding, DHL Freight and DHL Supply Chain – have participated in the Great Place to Work® survey as a single entity in line with the One DHL principle. The unified assessment supports the goal of creating a consistent and high‑quality employee experience across all business units.
“We share a clear way of working: we meet our customers in a unified manner and build everyday operations that enable our people to succeed in their work. A shared direction also strengthens mutual trust within the organization,” says Kai Wicklund, Managing Director of DHL Freight.
DHL employs more than 1,100 logistics, warehouse and supply chain professionals in Finland. The work is multi‑site and often operationally demanding, requiring clarity in leadership, continuous dialogue, and the ability to improve workflow at the everyday level.
“A people‑centric culture is the foundation of our operations. We continuously develop the employee experience because a motivated workforce is a key factor in delivering high‑quality customer experiences and building sustainable growth,” says Antti Saarinen, Country Manager of DHL Supply Chain.
The logistics industry is undergoing major transformation due to digitalization, shifting supply chains and increasing sustainability requirements. These changes highlight the importance of competence development and employee engagement in building competitiveness.
“We want to provide a work environment where people can grow professionally and find meaning in their work. Long‑term cultural development creates the basis for both employee well‑being and customer experience,” says Oktay Nuri, Managing Director of DHL Express.
In an international operating environment, collaboration, communication and continuous competence development are key requirements for success. A shared corporate culture supports smooth cooperation across organizational and national boundaries.
“International logistics is built on strong expertise and close collaboration between different functions. When people have a clear direction and opportunities to develop their skills, we can respond even better to the changing needs of our customers,” says Juha Kallunki, Managing Director of DHL Global Forwarding.
The Great Place to Work® certification is based on an employee survey that evaluates aspects such as trust, fairness, respect and sense of community. DHL Express has participated in the survey since 2022, DHL Supply Chain in 2024–2025, and DHL Freight and DHL Global Forwarding for the first time in 2025.
