DHL EXPRESS JAPAN AMONG GREAT PLACE TO WORK® AWARD RECIPIENTS FOR THE EIGHTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR

DHL Express Japan among Great Place To Work® award recipients for the eighth consecutive yearDHL Express, the world’s leading international express service provider, has been named as one of Japan’s Best Workplace 2020 award recipients for the eighth consecutive year, as announced by the Great Place To Work® Institute Japan (GPTW). DHL Express Japan is one of just 25 companies named in Japan as a Great Place to work.

This award is derived from original survey program conducted by GPTW which has over 30 years of experience researching the work environment. In 2020, feedback from numerous number of  employees from 499 companies in Japan are reflected in this survey.

At DHL, motivated people are considered as an integral factor for best-in-class service and enhanced competitiveness, and being an “Employer of Choice” is one of the Group’s key focus areas. Across the Group, DHL has been conducting large scale employee surveys annually with about 380,000 staff, where the feedback is used to put in place practices to improve employee satisfaction and staff morale. DHL Express also runs a program called “CIS”(Certified International Specialist) throughout the division. At CIS, DHL employees undergo a common global course conducted in local languages which provides the necessary expertise and knowledge relating to the business unit’s international logistics and operations.
