DHL Express Partners Conrad Tokyo and Soap Cycling to Deliver Recycled Soaps to Disadvantaged Communities

  • Recycled soaps to be distributed to the communities in need in Asia

DHL Express, the world’s leading international express service provider have partnered with Conrad Tokyo and Hong Kong-based non-profit organization, Soap Cycling to assist with the international shipping of recycled soaps to disadvantaged communities in Asia.  

The partnership ceremony between DHL Express and Conrad Tokyo was held at Conrad Tokyo on Tuesday, October 15. Under the partnership, approximately 100kg   of used soaps will be collected from guest rooms at Conrad Tokyo annually and shipped to Soap Cycle. Soap Cycle will recycle these used soaps into new soaps and distribute them to people in developing countries.

We are very pleased to leverage DHL's solid global network and participate in this meaningful initiative to help disadvantaged communities refine their environment's hygiene and sanitary conditions. By recycling used soaps, we can also reduce environmental pollution stemming from discarded used soaps.”

DHL Express received 90 kg of used solid soaps from Conrad Tokyo on Tuesday, August 20 for the first batch.

Before the partnership ceremony, DHL Express received 90 kg of used solid soap from Conrad Tokyo on Tuesday, August 20 for the first batch and shipped them to Soap Cycling in Hong Kong.  Soap Cycling is a Hong Kong-based non-profit organization providing free recycled soap to those in need.  Used soaps are reproduced, and transformed into new soaps, which are then distributed to people in Asian countries and regions in need of hygiene products.
