GENERAL RATE INCREASES FOR 2020

Transport

In the last Quarter of 2019, a number of our Transport partners have gone to market with rate increases proposed for 2020.

DHL Global Forwarding New Zealand will introduce an increase to their transport rates effective 1 February 2020.

This increase will cover the rising fleet cost, and will be reflected in both our Transport Rate & Fuel Surcharge, this will be applied to both contracted and non-contracted rate cards and Quotes.

Government Border Agencies

New Zealand Customs and Ministry of Primary industries are proposing increases across the board to the fees they charge for all Import Entry transactions, these are actual pass through cost from New Zealand Customs that applies to any Import entry lodged. The Export Entry Transaction fees will receive a reduction at the same time.  Recovery of the Import fees as charged directly to the Customs Broker, will occur from June 2020. In our ever increasing compliance environment, the value of a competent and quality Customs Broker has never been so important. In 2020, to cover the investment in maintaining an expert, 7 day Brokerage team, there will be an adjustment to our Customs entry fee.
