2026-02-06 – DHL Freight: Beware of fake SMS

2026-02-06

Fake text messages or emails are being sent out where the senders claim to be DHL. This is a global issue known as phishing, where fraudsters try to access sensitive information—such as your bank account details or digital ID—by pretending to represent a well‑known company or public authority.

How do I know if a message really comes from DHL?
Check whether anything in the SMS looks suspicious—for example the sender name, web links, logos, or the language used. And are you even expecting a parcel? If not – don’t click on any links.

All SMS from DHL Freight Sweden are sent from the sender name DHL Sverige. A safe way to verify your shipment is to use our app Mitt DHL or visit hamta.dhl.com, where you can always track your parcel using your shipment number.
