2026-08-28 – DHL Freight: Delays for deliveries in the Gothenburg Service Area Due to Industrial Fire

Due to a fire at a chemical manufacturing facility near DHL Freight’s terminal in Gothenburg yesterday evening, emergency services decided to evacuate our personnel as a precautionary measure.

As a result, shipments within the Gothenburg service area will be delayed. Operations resumed this morning; however, it will take approximately 1 to 3 days to clear the backlog and return to normal delivery schedules.

The impact on outbound shipments from Gothenburg to the rest of the country is limited, and these shipments are continuing largely as normal.
