DHL PROVIDES FOSSIL-FREE LOGISTICS AND MOTIVATION DURING THE 100TH VASALOPPE

DHL makes sure that the things that matters most arrive when Vasaloppet takes place for the 100th time. With fossil-free transport between Mora and Sälen, DHL ensures that clothes and skis are delivered to all 60,000 competitors during the Vasaloppet Week. You can do your part by requesting a pep song to help your friend cross the finish line in Vasaloppet on March 3!
When Vasaloppet Week kicks off on February 23, DHL will be the official logistics partner for the thirteenth year in a row and will once again host Tjejvasan. This year, nearly 16,000 competitors are participating in Vasaloppet, which is the 100th in the order. All 16 ski races of the week gather a total of about 60,000 competitors.
With the help of its own staff on site, 25 trucks and 700 volunteers from local associations, DHL is responsible for the collection and delivery of clothes bags and waxed skis to the competitors. A large and complicated logistics puzzle where everything needs to be done right.
"It's fantastic to be both an important part of the overall experience for all the contestants and to experience this festival on site. We at DHL are prepared and motivated to do our part to make this the best Vasaloppet Week so far and that all skiers can focus on what they need to do on the track," says Anna Swahn, Head of Marketing and Communications at DHL Freight Sweden.
The DHL trucks that roll between Mora and Sälen during the week all run on renewable fuels. The vehicles shuttle to deliver personal equipment in the form of clothes and skis to the participants, while also transporting materials for checkpoints, exhibition equipment, number bibs and more.
DHL to host Tjejvasan 2024
DHL is proud to once again host Tjejvasan on Saturday, February 24. The world's largest ski competition exclusively for women, which takes place for the 36th time. This year we will see the 200,000th finish of the race in history.
A clear trend in recent years is that the proportion of women throughout the Vasaloppet Week is increasing at a rapid pace. Today, more than one in three skiers competing during the Winter Week is a woman – and in the big Vasaloppet 2024, a record number of competitors, 23 percent, are women. Welcome to the warmth of our DHL trailer, where you can also send parcels. We will be in Oxberg during Vasaloppet 30 on Friday, February 23 and Tjejvasan on Saturday, February 24. On the weekend of March 1-3, we will be at the start point for Vasaloppet in Sälen, where coffee and buns will be served.

A must for those who are in Mora during the weekends during the Winter Week. Empty the parcel locker and book and hand in your parcel as fast as you can. Up for grabs are start places for Sommarvasan 2024. - Pep and fluid station in Läde
13 kilometers from the finish, DHL will do everything we can to make sure that the competitors get all the way across the finish line in Mora. Here we are both weekends. Participants in Vasaloppet on March 3 have been able to request their pep song in advance, and when they pass us in Läde we play the requested song. - Live music "Wish your pep song" in Eldris
During Tjejvasan on Saturday, February 24, you have the chance to listen to live music in Eldris when the band Little Boo coaches competitors on the track with the help of the competitors' personal pep music.
