DHL Supply Chain, a contract logistics specialist within Deutsche Post DHL, is a partner of the 24th Annual One World festival in Olomouc. From March 27 to April 1, the audience can watch dozens of documentaries about human rights and their violations. This year’s theme is the Price of Safety.
“The topic of uncertainty and the search for safety resonates strongly with the principles and corporate culture of DHL Supply Chain. The company has long been promoting an inclusive work environment and values employee diversity. At the same time, it rejects any form of discrimination based on gender, ethnic and racial origin, skin color, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation and identity,” explains Dana Kucejova, PR and Marketing Manager at DHL Supply Chain.
“We take it as our duty to create an environment of mutual respect that excludes all forms of harassment, threats or intimidation. We care about diversity and inclusion simply because it’s the right thing to do and we want DHL to be a great place to work for everyone. We are happy that we can support an activity such as the One World festival, which deals with this issue,” adds Karolina Hudečková, Talent Management CEE Lead at DHL Supply Chain.
Thanks to a strong corporate culture, DHL Supply Chain was able to quickly offer help after the outbreak of war in Ukraine. As one of the first companies, it became involved in helping refugees, which included financial donations, counseling in their native language or, for example, the immediate transportation of more than a hundred women and children from all parts of Ukraine to the Czech Republic. Many immigrants found work in the distribution centers of DHL Supply Chain, 250 people were employed in the Cheb distribution center alone immediately after the conflict broke out. At the same time, they were provided with psychological support, Czech language courses or help with childcare.
Deutsche Post DHL Group (DPDHL Group) ranks second among the 50 best-performing global companies for hiring refugees. Ranked number eight, the logistics group is also among the top ten when it comes to refugee integration. This is according to a report published in February 2023 by Refugee Integration Insights (RII), a dedicated provider of private sector refugee data. A total of 19,650 refugees have entered into either employment or a traineeship at DPDHL Group since the autumn of 2015.
