From 1 July, 2021, the European Union (EU) will remove the Value Added Tax (VAT) exemption for low value imported goods – that is, goods with a value of up to €22.
As a result, all commercial imports into the EU will be subject to VAT, while all low value imports will require a Formal Customs Declaration.
