DHL Supply Chain and METRO Extend Their Logistics Partnership in Mitry-Mory Until 2029

Press Release: Paris, March 30, 2026

Long-standing partners DHL Supply Chain and METRO are strengthening their collaboration around the Mitry-Mory logistics platform (Seine-et-Marne), which supplies 37 wholesale stores in Paris and the northeastern quarter of France, representing more than 700,000 pallets handled annually.

DHL Supply Chain France announces the extension of its partnership with METRO for the operation of the Mitry-Mory (77) logistics platform, now renewed through the end of 2029. This long-term collaboration reflects the strong relationship of trust built between the two companies over more than three decades, as well as their shared commitment to continually enhancing the performance and reliability of logistics operations.

At the heart of this setup is the Mitry-Mory platform, a 57,000 sqm logistics site dedicated to supplying the METRO network. From this strategic facility, operational since 2017, DHL Supply Chain manages the flow of goods destined for 37 METRO Cash & Carry warehouses located in the Paris region and the northeastern quarter of France, now totaling more than 700,000 pallets shipped each year.

Over 30 years of logistics cooperation in professional Distribution

DHL Supply Chain and METRO began their collaboration in 1992. Since then, the two partners have continuously evolved their operations to support the growth and transformation of METRO Group’s logistics model.

The Mitry-Mory platform fully embodies this approach. Designed to centralize and optimize flows related to beverage and grocery activities, it also enables the integration of supplier forward stocks and helps streamline the entire METRO network’s supply operations.

Beyond day-to-day operational management, DHL Supply Chain and METRO teams work closely to improve site performance: optimizing logistics processes, increasing truck fill rates, ensuring delivery reliability, strengthening operational safety and enhancing the quality of the working environment.

Mitry-Mory, a key logistics hub for the Cash & Carry network

The HQE certified Mitry-Mory distribution center features 54,000 sqm of logistics space and 3,000 sqm of offices. Since entering service, it has become a crucial link in METRO’s logistics organization, helping to ensure efficient and reliable supply throughout its network.

Each year, the platform also processes more than 20 million parcels, demonstrating the growing role of this infrastructure, designed to meet the demands of a major player in the food wholesale sector.

Thanks to DHL Supply Chain’s expertise in retail and distribution, ongoing operational improvements are integrated into site activities to support METRO’s growth and anticipate the evolution of its logistics needs.

A strengthened partnership to support METRO’s growth

“The extension of this partnership through 2029 reflects the strength of the relationship we have built with METRO over more than thirty years. It also highlights the operational excellence demonstrated every day by our teams at the Mitry-Mory site. This renewed trust will allow us to continue evolving logistics operations together to sustainably support METRO’s growth,” says William Albert, Key Account Manager at DHL Supply Chain France.

“Logistics performance is essential to ensuring reliable supply for our network and the level of service we owe our professional customers. The partnership we have maintained with DHL Supply Chain for many years is built on close collaboration between our teams and a shared ambition to continuously improve our operations. The Mitry-Mory platform plays a key role in this system and extending the partnership through 2029 will enable us to continue supporting METRO’s development in France under optimal conditions,” adds Charles Villepelet, Upstream Supply Chain Director at METRO France.

By extending their collaboration, DHL Supply Chain and METRO reaffirm their shared ambition: to continue developing their logistics operations to sustainably support the performance and competitiveness of the METRO network in France.
