Press Release: Paris, 28 May 2026
- DHL Supply Chain announces the signing of a partnership with Substipharm, a pharmaceutical group specialized in the development and commercialization of generic medicines.
- The partnership supports Substipharm in the logistics deployment of its Aspégic® and Kardégic® specialty medicines across France and the French overseas territories.
- The scope covers end-to-end logistics, from order receipt to invoicing of wholesalers, including storage and product distribution.
DHL Supply Chain announces the signing of a new strategic partnership with Substipharm. This agreement is part of DHL’s accelerated growth in the pharmaceutical sector, driven by its dedicated brand, DHL Health Logistics.
This partnership is built on a dedicated and proven logistics setup and follows the transfer to Substipharm, on January 30, of the Marketing Authorizations for the pharmaceutical brands Aspégic® and Kardégic®, two DL-lysine acetylsalicylate-based specialty medicines that have been used for many years within their respective approved indications, in accordance with their Marketing Authorizations.
A logistics set-up designed to support growth
Under this partnership, DHL Supply Chain will manage all logistics operations on behalf of Substipharm, including storage, order receipt, preparation, shipment to wholesale distributors and invoicing.
Operations will be managed from the Saint-Loubès logistics site in the Gironde region, with supply sourced from a manufacturing facility located in the Loiret. The setup is designed to handle nearly 30 million boxes per year, covering two brands and around ten product references.
Flows will cover the entire French territory as well as the overseas regions, in full compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory requirements, particularly regarding transport and storage under controlled temperature conditions (+15°C / +25°C).
Proven expertise supporting a committed pharmaceutical player
Laurent Cassedanne, Chief Pharmaceutical Officer, Head of Quality and Regulatory, DHL Supply Chain France, comments: “With this new strategic partnership, we leverage our in-depth understanding of both operational and regulatory requirements of the pharmaceutical market to ensure optimal availability of medicines throughout mainland France and the French overseas territories (DROM-COM), while delivering a level of service that meets the expectations of distribution networks and, ultimately, patients."
