SPS/POAO goods to GB

GB risk categories concerning control and importation of products of animal origin (POAO) from all countries are in effect.

Non-EU countries may not send to GB any POAO requiring BCP inspection and shipments sent will be destroyed. This includes germinal products, such as animal semen.

EU countries may only send low-risk POAO from approved establishments to GB; medium and high-risk POAO sent to GB without a licence, including geminal products, will not be accepted and will be destroyed. EU countries should check the risk category of POAO prior to sending to GB, ensuring they can be accepted and that accurate descriptions and classifications are used for identification purposes.
