Automated Export System („AES RO”) will come into effect

We would like to inform you that starting from February 12, 2024, the new Automated Export System („AES RO”) of the Romanian Customs Authority will come into effect. Therefore, from  February 12 onwards, all export formalities will be carried out in the AES RO application.

With the launch of AES RO, exporting economic operators are required to submit an access request to the Integrated Customs Information System for the AES RO application through the User Management Module („UMG”) using a qualified digital certificate.

Please note that this registration is done only once for all exports.

The login instructions are published on the website https://www.customs.ro/e-customs/aes.

IMPORTANT: Exporters conducting export operations through customs representatives/agents must designate their representatives in the UMG module under the section „Economic operator (conducts operations on its own behalf or designates a representative)” by specifying the EORI number of the representative. For export operations conducted through DHL Romania International SRL („DHL Express”), please provide the EORI number RO1590678.

Otherwise, customs representatives/agents will not be able to submit export customs declarations for the exporting economic operator. Multiple representatives can be designated for export operations.

Please register in the UMG module by February 12, 2024.
