Michael is the Global President of DHL’s Energy Sector. His main responsibility is the strategic and business development of the sector within DHL.
He leads a diverse global team of highly skilled energy-specific logistics professionals who, as customer needs dictate, connect to a network of local specialists across 220 countries and territories. This enables the team to deliver best-in-class logistics solutions tailored to the specific requirements of energy companies no matter how remote their operations, while also meeting local market conditions and custom regulations.
With over 18 years of experience working in increasingly senior roles across many of DHL’s organizations, Michael brings unique logistics insight to the energy market.
Michael has extensive knowledge of the broad range of supply chain demands energy companies have as they work to deliver mission-critical infrastructure; their need to deliver exploration and production activities in some of the most remote parts of the world and run city-sized refinery operations, chemical plants, or need to manage large retail networks.
He recognizes the need to embrace innovation and to create pioneering products and solutions to develop the flexible, agile, and resilient supply chain networks energy companies need in order to keep ahead of the curve.
By partnering with many of the world’s largest and most successful energy companies, Michael and his team have designed, managed, and optimized numerous end-to-end supply chains improving visibility, increasing efficiency, ensuring exception management as well as reducing cost.
Passionate about protecting the environment, Michael is also committed to working with customers in safeguarding our world for a sustainable future. This means working together to achieve the highest levels of sustainability across the supply chain by innovating and commercializing green products and solutions.

Leigh-Ann is bp’s Chief Procurement Officer, where she is accountable for a safe, ethical, and competitive supply chain of circa $30B of global spend. In previous roles, she was the Global Head of Upstream Supply Chain and the Vice President of Technical Functions & Performance in the Global Wells Organization.
Leigh-Ann holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering, is a Chartered Petroleum Engineer, and is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, and Fellow of the Energy Institute. Leigh-Ann is also a Non-Executive Director on the board at Hill & Smith Holdings PLC.
Leigh-Ann strongly believes that procurement has a large role to play in bp’s ambition to reimagine energy for people and our planet and to help the world get to net zero.

Mathieu Soulas began his career, in Total’s Refining Division. After holding various positions, in European refineries and as head of refining & petrochemical operations in the Benelux countries he moved to the Marketing & Services branch in 2013 as Executive Vice President for the geographical zone of the Indian Ocean and Vice President Supply and Logistic covering the whole Africa and Middle-East perimeter.
In 2017, he became Vice President in charge of the Lubricants Business Unit worldwide, covering the activities from industrial operations, supply chain, marketing, and global sales.
In August 2019, he joined the group’s headquarter as Senior Vice President Strategy & Climate where he participated in the elaboration and the implementation of the ambitious strategy of a company engaged in the Energy Transition.
Mathieu Soulas, 50, is a graduate of France's Ecole Polytechnique and IFPEN engineering schools.

Michael Peffermann, 46, Educated as a Civil Engineer at the University of Applied Sciences Munich. He started his career back in 1997 in the offshore oil & gas sector working for Dragados Offshore in Cádiz, South Spain, and in Mexico – Focus on construction and T&I of oil rigs and other offshore projects.
Michael moved in 2009 to the renewables energy sector working for Alstom Wind. He focused on managing several offshore wind projects in northern Europe and North America until becoming GE offshore wind.
In 2019 he became Offshore Wind Project Office Operations Leader. End of 2020 Michael moved to the onshore wind sector and became the Onshore BU Head of Construction and logistics for Siemens Gamesa.

Steven Brunner joined BP 3 years ago and is the VP of Customer Procurement. The Customer Procurement team supports the Castrol, Aviation, Mobility & Convenience, Midstream, and Future Mobility businesses at bp. Steven comes to BP with over 30 years of supply chain experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry.
He is a supply-chain strategist with a compelling record of creating a performance culture, enhancing organizational effectiveness, improving employee engagement, and establishing cross-functional collaboration.
Before coming to BP, he had worked for Mars as the Chief procurement officer for Mars Indirect sourcing team, with a global spend of $8-10 billion in logistics, capital, sales, and marketing.
Steven is team-oriented, believing everyone has their role to play in the effectiveness of an organization. He values honesty, respect, courage, accountability, and compassion. and was very excited to see that these are all incorporated in the Values and Behaviors of BP.
Steven is married with four boys. He enjoys the outdoors, including biking, camping, and hiking.

Christer Tryggestad, Senior Partner, McKinsey & Company Christer Tryggestad is a senior partner and leader of our global Electric Power and Natural Gas (EPNG), Oil and Gas (O&G) Practices based in Oslo.
Christer serves clients in the energy space on topics along the entire oil-and-gas and power value chains, including upstream oil and gas, energy trading and marketing, conventional and renewable power generation, transmission and distribution, energy retail, and district heating. In addition, Christer has worked extensively with energy-intensive industries. In addition to his client work, Christer has led a series of knowledge initiatives within energy. He leads the work to develop and maintain McKinsey’s Global Energy Perspective (GEP).
Furthermore, he has led the following knowledge efforts: developing an overall European gas supply-and-demand perspective; developing McKinsey’s proprietary global gas model and using this to outline a global gas perspective, including LNG flows; crafting an integrated power perspective for Europe (interplay between gas, coal, nuclear power, and renewables); assessing future power price volatility and flexibility measures (including demand flexibility in connection with smart-grid applications) in the European power market, and developing the European power CEO perspective that outlines McKinsey’s view on how the market is expected to develop.

Sean is responsible for leading DHL’s strategy in the Americas' Energy sector and, in this role, also contributes to the organization’s global strategic efforts. In addition, he manages the global customer relationship with two of DHL’s most significant customers – both are energy field services corporations.
With 19 years of experience in DHL, particularly within the energy industry, Sean has acquired a hands-on appreciation of customer needs. He recognizes the vital importance of compliance, especially in emerging energy markets, as well as the need to prioritize HSE in protecting the most important asset, people.

Claus Nehmzow is the Chief Innovation Officer of Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS), a shipping company committed to the green and technology-driven growth of the maritime industry. Fulfilling that commitment is a 5,000 strong and growing workforce that manages a versatile fleet of over 17M DWT.
As Chief Innovation Officer, Claus is responsible for the company's digital journey, its overall technology strategy, and the IT team. He also oversees EPS' in-house accelerator for maritime startups.
Before joining EPS, Claus drove digital innovation at BP across the Asia Pacific, founded a gamified online education startup, and held leadership positions at brand and user experience agency Method and as Angel Investor and COO at Shazam.
Claus has also worked at top-tier consultancies including Booz, Allen & Hamilton, PA Consulting, and Accenture. He currently resides in Singapore.

Coming from a background in Engineering and Computer Science, Kristian has always been fascinated by what happens when Humans meet new technologies. Kristian explores the field of VR and AR with an equal dose of fascination and utilitarian skepticism.

Nicolas co-founded F-drones in 2019, a company developing large-scale autonomous delivery drones for more efficient and sustainable maritime logistics. Previously, Nicolas was with Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) for more than a decade.
At EDB, he played key roles in shaping the transformation of Singapore’s Marine & Offshore industry amid the COVID-19 pandemic and led the set-up of the Office for Space Technology & Industry (OSTIn) in 2013. In between, he spent 6 years in China and Australia, facilitating foreign investments into Singapore across multiple industry sectors.

Sanaa Ammour joined DHL CSI as Regional Customer Manager for MEA. Within the Global DHL Energy team, Sanaa is responsible for managing key customer relationships and developing DHL’s energy sector across the Middle East and Africa. Sanaa spent 14 years in the Energy industry working in various Supply Chain roles for a leading global oilfield services company.
