  • Since February 2018 Katja Busch has been responsible for the Sales Organization "DHL Customer Solutions & Innovation" as Chief Commercial Officer & Head of CSI at DHL Group. From January 2013 - January 2018 Katja Busch was Chief Sales Officer (CSO) DHL eCommerce Germany. Prior to this, she was Divisional Board Member for DHL eCommerce for over six years in the Mail division at DHL AG responsible for domestic sales including customer service for eCommerce. 

    Appointed CSI DHL eCommerce Germany in 2013, Busch assumed overall responsibility for customer service for both Mail and Parcel business units, including 22 call centers operated by DHL Customer Service GmbH. From March 2014 -  January 2018, she headed international customer service for the Group's eCommerce division. In August 2016 she also assumed responsibility for the newly created Global eCom* Key Account Management unit.

  • As CEO of DHL Group, Frank Appel is responsible for the global management of the world’s leading logistics and mail communications group. He joined the Group in 2000 as Managing Director of Corporate Development and has been a member of the Group’s Board of Management since 2002. In 2008, he assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining the Group, Frank Appel was a managing partner at McKinsey & Co., Frankfurt am Main, Germany. He holds an MSc in chemistry from the University of Munich and a Ph.D. in neurobiology from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich.

  • Tim Leberecht is a German-American author and entrepreneur, and the co-founder and co-CEO of The Business Romantic Society, a firm that helps organizations and individuals create transformative visions, stories, and experiences.

In her spare time, she runs marathons and practices Pilates.

  • Dr. Klaus Dohrmann leads DHL’s flagship innovation center in Cologne, Germany, as well as DHL’s Global trend research activities. In his role, he is responsible for driving thought leadership and customer-facing innovation.

    Klaus has a breadth of supply chain and logistics knowledge with deep sector expertise. He was previously Vice President Sector Development for DHL Customer Solutions and Innovation (CSI), where he led the global development of the Engineering, Manufacturing, and Energy sector, and oversaw the development of global sector strategies for Auto-Mobility, Technology, as well as eRetail & Fashion.

  • Christopher joined DHL in 2018 when he took over the responsibility for the DHL SmartSensor product. Since then he is driving and leveraging research and product development of cutting-edge Internet-of-Things solutions to foster the deployment of IoT technology within DHL and customers with his team. In that role Christopher is responsible to manage the portfolio of visibility solutions used by DHL and its customers, all evaluated and set up in the light of the high standards of the LSH industry.

    Prior to DHL Christopher worked as a Senior Project Leader in a Management Consultancy for 7 years with a focus on network industries like energy, telecommunication, and logistics. Herein, he was leading multiple projects in the area of Business Model Innovation based on data-driven services.

    Christopher is a holder of a Masters's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim, Germany, and is based in Bonn.

  • Matthias Heutger Senior Vice President, Global Head of Innovation and Commercial Development, and member of DHL’s Global Commercial Board. A seasoned logistics professional who has held a number of key leadership, strategic, and board positions across the DHL Group since joining in 2002. A recognized international leader across multi-disciplinary teams and geographic locations.

    An expert in customer-centric Innovation (where his true passion lies), coupled with his robust operational knowledge, Matthias has translated his passion into exceptional value for customers.  In addition to this, the development and remodeling of DHL’s flagship Innovation Centers, in Germany, Singapore & the USA, as well as a number of key industry-defining thought leadership publications have been produced under his stewardship. In addition to this, he directs and develops marketing and commercial development activities for DHL’s six focus sectors – automobility, energy, engineering and manufacturing, life sciences and healthcare, technology, and e-retail & fashion including DHL’s top 100+ accounts.

    An active member of the board of directors of Rising Tide Digital and GS1 Germany. He is highly engaged with various industry bodies and best-practice associations including SAMA, High-Tech Gründerfonds, The Innovation Round Table, to name but a few.

  • Jens Burchardt is Boston Consulting Group's global expert on climate impact and co-founder of the firm’s Center for Climate and Sustainability.

    Jens advises clients in the private and public sectors on how to prepare for a low-carbon economy and how to win in low-carbon technologies such as hydrogen, power-to-x, and carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS). He has supported decarbonization projects with a total investment volume of several billion euros in sectors such as oil and gas, power, steel, cement, chemicals, automotive, shipping, aviation, and consumer goods. He also helped clients set up new low-carbon businesses in areas like hydrogen, e-fuels, and carbon credits.

    Jens is the author of several landmark BCG publications on climate change that are regularly cited in national and international media. He is a regular speaker on the climate transition, including at TED, and has advised the World Economic Forum, the UN Conference of the Parties (COP26), and several German government commissions on decarbonization.

  • Charlotte Hardenbol is Head of Programs & Solutions at SkyNRG, a pioneer and global leader in the development of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). She focuses on the development and growth of innovative programs and partnerships that help to raise global awareness, fund the green premium, and accelerate the transition to a sustainable future for aviation. Examples include the KLM Corporate SAF program, the Fly Green Fund, and the Board Now program - linked to SkyNRG’s new production capacity projects.

    Before joining SkyNRG, Charlotte worked as a consultant at Spring Associates, a strategy consulting firm with expertise in Energy and Sustainability. Charlotte holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Amsterdam, specializing in Econometrics & Management Science.

  • Andreas Kuhlmann has been the CEO of dena since July 2015. In this role, he increased dena's profile as a driver and pioneer of energy transition and climate protection. Exemplary projects for this include the international innovation initiative "Start Up Energy Transition", which now brings together around 1,500 start-ups from all over the world, as well as the  "Integrated Energy Transition" pilot study, whereby dena, together with more than 60 partners from business and science, is developing strategies for the future and the achievements of the climate goals.

    Andreas Kuhlmann sees the energy transition as one of the most fascinating change processes of the present day, which, in addition to challenges, above all also brings with it opportunities. With this in mind, he brings his knowledge of diverse national and international projects acquired at the interface between business and politics into the energy and climate policy debate. And he campaigns for more courage and determination in designing the framework conditions that are necessary for the success of the energy transition.

    Andreas Kuhlmann (born in Recklinghausen in 1967, catholic, married, one daughter) majored in physics and minored in economics at the universities of Bonn, Heidelberg, and Corvallis (USA). He started his career in 1995 at the Institute of Environmental Physics at Ruprecht-Karls University in Heidelberg, where he primarily focused on the carbon cycle. This was followed by various political posts, including at the European Parliament, with the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD), at the Bundestag, within the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, and at the German Embassy in Stockholm.

    In 2010 Andreas Kuhlmann joined the German Association of Energy and Water Industries (BDEW) and took over the Politics and Economics departments as Director of Strategy and Politics. He was responsible for the strategic and political development of BDEW as well as the dialogue with politics, business, and the public.

  • Pablo joined DHL in 2005 as Express US Director of Strategy, where he successfully implemented various optimization programs in the areas of Billing, Network Operations, Indirect Cost reduction, eCommerce, and Customer Retention. Pablo served as Ken Allen’s (DHL Express CEO) Chief of Staff during the restructure of the USA operations and was instrumental in the planning and execution of the turnaround. During that period he also has led Customer Service and Telesales functions to record levels of performance and productivity.

    In 2010 he was appointed CIO for the US where he executed a convergence program that led to decommissioning 300 applications and migrating to global standards. He also developed and implemented key new capabilities such as Paperless Trade, Advance Notification Services, and Denied Party Screening workflow. During his tenure as US CIO, his organization was selected as one of the top 100 IT places to work. In 2012 he was appointed CIO for the Americas and member of the DHL Global IT Executive Committed. Prior to joining DHL, Pablo was a Management Consultant focusing on supply chain optimization and turnaround programs throughout Europe, Latin America and the U.S. Pablo holds an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden Business School.

  • Florian Schwarz is responsible for Sustainability in regards to DHL’s top customers. He heads the Program Office for Commercial Operations within DHL Customer Solutions & Innovation and is also the host of DHL’s internal monthly ‘Product Call’ which brings new products and solutions closer to our Sales Colleagues.
