As part of the Formula 1® festivities in Singapore, DHL, with its long-standing partner Singapore Red Cross (SRC) and the Mini Fanatics Club, organized BOX IT FORWARD, a charity drive supporting 150 low-income households. The event was held on 15 September at the Ten Square building.
The day's highlight was the official unveiling of a Formula 1 show car, which will be displayed at the Ten Square building from 15 to 18 September, to kickstart the Formula 1 season in Singapore. The reveal was officiated by Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Social and Family Development.
BOX IT FORWARD invited participants to decorate and fill 150 boxes with household essentials, which were then distributed to the beneficiary households as part of the charity drive. Families in need were also invited to join the festivities, emphasizing a spirit of inclusion and community.
In addition to the charity drive, the event showcased local talent, Pang Shih Ching, a student from Nanyang Polytechnic’s School of Design and Media, whose digital artwork was displayed on the 3D screen of the Ten Square building as part of event promotions. Hands-on art activities were organized to engage younger attendees, and educational booths by the Singapore Red Cross offered demonstrations of CPR and First Aid skills, enhancing the event’s focus on community support and well-being.
Across donation items and cash sponsorships, the BOX IT FORWARD drive has raised more than S$10,000 in value.
