Change in Transportation Prices Due to Increase in Slovak Toll from July 1, 2025
Effective July 1, 2025, based on the decision of the Slovak government, the toll will be increased by an average of 40%. The new toll will consist of three components: a fee for infrastructure usage, costs associated with CO₂ emissions, and costs arising from air pollution. More detailed information about this change is available here.
Impact on Transportation Services:
As a result of the aforementioned legislative change, from July 1, 2025, the prices for transportation of groupage shipments to Slovakia will be increased by 1.9%. Price adjustments for full truckload shipments will be handled individually.
This adjustment is based on the regulation of the Slovak Republic government, which is beyond the control of DHL Freight CZ s.r.o. and represents a necessary response to external changes in costs.

Closure of customs offices on June 30 2025
We would like to draw your attention to the message of the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic regarding the transformation of customs offices, which will take place at the turn of June and July, from 30.6.2025 to 1.7.2025.

In this context, all customs offices will be temporarily closed on 30.6.2025, except for those where customs procedures are taking place.
In relation to electronic communication with the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic, follow the „Nedostupnost“ (Unavailability) application.
Which in practice means that customs officers will be at the offices where customs procedures are taking place, but outages of the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic system cannot be ruled out.
If it is even slightly possible, we recommend that you do not plan imports or exports of your shipments on these days.

Introduction of a Fee for Cash on Delivery Shipments to Slovakia from June 1, 2025
As of April 1, 2025, the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic has introduced a new tax on financial transactions, which also applies to payments made through cash on delivery services collected from recipients (0.4% of each transaction, with a maximum of 40 EUR). As a result of this change, DHL Freight CZ will implement a fee of 0.4% on the cash on delivery amount for shipments sent from the Czech Republic to Slovakia, effective June 1, 2025, with a maximum limit of 40 EUR. This is a government regulation of the Slovak Republic, which is beyond the control of DHL Freight CZ s.r.o.
