DHL EXPRESS VIETNAM BAGS A SERIES OF INDUSTRY AWARDS

DHL Express, the world’s leading international express services provider, has received a number industry awards - The Golden Dragon Awards 2017 by Vietnam Economic Times and the 2018 Stevie Awards - reaffirming the company’s significant contributions to the growth of Vietnam’s economy and society.

This is the fourth time DHL Express has received the Golden Dragon Award, under the Transport Services category, and it is one of the few companies that are winners of more than five Gold Stevie Awards in four consecutive years.

DHL Express achieved four Gold Stevie swards for “Excellence in Innovation in Business Product & Service Industries”; “Contact Center of the Year”; “Back-Office Customer Service Professional of the Year”; “Innovative Use of Technology in Customer Service” and three Silver awards of “Customer Service Department of the Year”; “Customer Service Team of the Year – Recovery Situation” and “Back-Office Customer Service of the Year”.

DHL Express is continually expanding and improvings its services and capabilities. Most recently, the company introduced a new Service Center in Binh Duong and also launched a new passenger-to-freighter A330-300 on its Penang – Ho Chi Minh – Hong Kong route. To date, DHL Express has approximately 20 dedicated aircraft and four hubs in the Asia Pacific region supporting local and regional customers, e-commerce merchants and other businesses to tap into intra-Asia trade growth.

Additionally, DHL Express has successfully applied modern tools and initiative models to support both consumers and suppliers, such as “On Demand Delivery” and parcel lockers. With “On Demand Delivery”, shippers and receivers can select from a range of standardized delivery options that best suit their requirements via the One Demand Delivery mobile-optimized website.   

The company also maximizes the use of social media and email marketing to communicate, recruit new customers and maintain the relationship with existing customers as well as to generate more revenue by keeping customers updated with latest announcements, new products and promotions.

“Beyond investing in our business and operations, our focus on corporate responsibility is also an integral part of the company’s strategy,” according to Shoeib. “Through our Living Responsibility program, we focus on the three pillars of environmental protection (GoGreen), disaster management (GoHelp) and education (GoTeach) and support employee volunteerism with Global Volunteer Day and Living Responsibility Fund.”

The Golden Dragon Award, now in its 17th year, honors FDI enterprises in Vietnam for their outstanding achievements in production and business, as well as their significant contributions to Vietnam’s economy and society.

The Stevie Awards are considered to be the world's premier business awards, confirming recognition of the achievements and positive contributions of organizations and working professionals worldwide since 2012. Stevie Award judges including more than one hundred of the world's most respected executives, entrepreneurs, innovators, and business educators had commented, nominated and recognized organizations around the world.

More than 800 nominations from organizations across the Asia-Pacific region were considered this year. Stevie winners will be presented their awards at a gala banquet at the Mira Hotel in Hong Kong on Friday, 1 June.
