The circular economy is playing an increasingly important role in the technology industry. Major players in the industry are actively addressing the issue, adjusting their production processes, exploring how to recover old devices from their customers to give them a second life or recover valuable parts.

  • After the award of the degree in Business Administration in Wiesbaden, Germany, Alexander started his career in 1996 in San Sebastian, Spain. As International Manager of the family owned parcel service company Guipuzcoana S.L. it was his responsibility to connect Guipuzcoana to a European parcel network alliance what he accomplished in April 1998 by joining the Eurodis group. As Quality Manager of Eurodis Alexander contributed to the harmonization with DHL's Europack network. 

    In November 1999 Alexander joined DHL Worldwide Express Germany in Frankfurt and, since then, held various sales and customer management positions with DHL before he assumed in 2009 the role as VP German Automotive with DHL CSI. In July 2016 he moved to the Technology sector and assumed the regional responsibility for EMEA which he held until June 2019. Since July 2019 Alexander is leading the global team as Sector President for Technology.

  • Claudia is Executive Director Global Sustainability Services at Lenovo.  She is a self-proclaimed “tree-hugger” and sustainability advocate who believes in the power of purpose and collaboration to drive meaningful action. Having held diverse roles across a number of organizations and geographies has given her an amplified perspective.  It is these experiences and her entrepreneurial spirit that have uniquely positioned her to spearhead transformational initiatives towards circularity and elimination of ewaste.

    The California Bay Area native holds a business degree from ITESO Jesuit University of Guadalajara, certifications in Circular Economy and Sustainability Strategies from Cambridge University, Sustainable Business Strategy from HBS, and International Business from UC Berkeley.

    Claudia lives is Cary, North Carolina where she and her husband enjoy the thrilling challenge of keeping up with their three very active young children.

  • Jack has been in supply chain for 33 years at Cisco, in almost every function. He and his teams have run factories, implemented systems, integrated acquisitions, managed materials, and delivered products all over the world.  

    An Innovator and serial entrepreneur, Jack’s started two companies, both still in operation today, and until recently ran two supply chain Innovation Centers in Istanbul and Houston. He’s a sought-after speaker on the topic of the digital disruption in the Supply Chain, and often appears in magazines or speaks at conferences about Cisco’s work on IoT and the rapidly digitizing supply chain.  Jack and his wife teach robotics to kids as part of their desire to build STEM competency in the US (particularly with minorities and girls), and their kids build and fight combat robots.

  • Scott Allison is a member of the DHL Service Logistics and DHL Customer Development Boards, and is responsible for all Customer relationship and commercial activities within DHL Service Logistics.

    Scott is a supply chain professional with more than 30 years of experience and has been with the DHL Group since 1992, working operationally both in DHL Global Forwarding and DHL Supply Chain organizations before moving into more commercial and strategic roles in the early 2000’s. His last role was leading DHL’s Life Sciences & Healthcare Sector globally. Previous roles saw Scott heavily involved in the Technology Sector and the maturing of that industry’s supply chain through the 90’s and 2000’s. A native of Scotland, Scott has lived with his family in Dallas, Texas since 2013.
