Do you regularly send pallets with DHL Freight within Sweden? Then join our pallet exchange system for domestic transports within Sweden - PÖS.

How it works

In PÖS we control the flow of Europe pallets (EUR) with regards to transports between sender and recipient. For this to work both parties need to be members. As member you pay a fixed fee per pallet movement or a percentage of sum we have charged you for transports, and you receive an invoice each month.

You must make sure that the Europe pallets you buy, repair and put into PÖS meet the standards according to Swedish Standard UIC 435-2 utg 8. Information about the Europe pallet can be found on the website of the Swedish Standards Institute and, with regard to imported wooden packing materials, on the Swedish Agricultural Ministry website

Det Norske Veritas Certification AB are in charge of certifying EUR pallets in Sweden. Manufacturers and repairers are also certified by DNV. Read more about DNV on their website.

Rules about correct packaging of goods, handling etc can be found in our packaging instructions and the product specific terms and conditions available on our website.

  • Just before the 15th and the last of each month we check your Check ourpallet balance. If you have a pallet debt towards DHL, i e you owe pallets to the system after the 20th in each month you receive an invoice for the equivalent amount in SEK (current price 220 SEK/pallet). If you prefer not to receive such an invoice you make sure that the right number of pallets are returned to the nearest DHL terminal before the 20th of each month. If so, please remember to book the pick-up in good time. If you are a member of PÖS the cost for the pick up is covered by your membership feet. You can of course also choose to clear the pallet debt by paying our invoice.

You may of course also have pallets owing to you. This means that you have pallets that are in the DHL network.

Whether you have a pallet debt or you have pallets owing to you ten empty pallets is the minimum recommended quantity you may send to us or order from us.
