DHL Freight: Potential Transport Disruptions Due to Severe Weather in Europe and Southern Sweden

Severe winter conditions are currently affecting parts of Europe, including Poland and northern Germany, resulting in icy roads and significantly reduced accessibility.

Shipping companies have also announced cancelled departures between Poland and Sweden during the afternoon of Monday, 26 January, and overnight into Tuesday, 27 January, due to heavy snowfall combined with strong winds. Additional ferry cancellations may be announced depending on how weather conditions develop.

This weather system is also moving into southern Sweden. Swedish authorities has issued a weather warning for south‑eastern Skåne during the night. Heavy snowfall and strong winds are expected, which may cause difficult road conditions and traffic disruptions on Tuesday. This may impact our transit times in the area.
