WHEN PICK UP OR DELIVERY MUST BE MADE USING A TAIL LIFT

You may book the option Tail lift for your Partial (PTL)- or Full load shipment (FTL). 

• Pick-up and unloading in SE more than 2 500 kg freight-bearing weight / shipment = PTL
• Pick-up or unloading abroad more than 2 500 kg freight-bearing weight / shipment = PTL
  

Our traffic management department control returns with questions and then with a confirmation and final price if the tail lift is feasible, but always at least according to the price list. Applies to both departing and arriving goods regardless of country and direction. When booking an option, the max. weight / pallet 750 kg regardless of  PTL and FTL. Max. dimensions (L x W x H): 2.20 x 1.20 x. 2.20 m

If an individual package weighs more than 750 kg actual weight, the client is responsible for the sender / recipient providing aids for loading / unloading. If the nature of the goods requires loading aids, the client is responsible for the sender / recipient providing equipment and paying for it. Costs that arise due to incorrect and lack of info will be charged to the client.

CONSIGNEE CONFIRMS A TIME FRAME FOR DELIVERY

Using ”Book in”, the consignee gets the option for delivery on a set date and time frame (a minimum 2 hour margin). DHL books the delivery with the consignee.

Select the option "Book in" when booking the transport.

This value added service needs to have a separate agreement. When you add this value added service to your booking you need to make sure that there is a valid telephone number or email address to the recipient so that the company / person in question is on site at the specified and confirmed time to avoid additional costs. WHEN CONSIGNOR OR CONSIGNEE NEED MULTIPLE PICK UP OR DELIVERY LOCATIONS

Contact our customer service regarding the need for more pick up or delivery locations in the same booking and we will return with confirmation and price or proposal.

In order to meet your needs, we need answers to certain questions, for example: Are there staff on site? Is a tail lift required?

This option is done manually and based on circumstances in the individual case, we confirm whether it is possible to offer this service.

It is important to remember that costs that arise due to incorrect information or lack of such information regarding shipping, extra car, storage, notification and so on, are charged in full.

WE TAKE CARE OF YOUR DANGEROUS GOODS SHIPMENTS

We handle shipments that are fully or partially covered by ADR-S, ADR, RID, IMDG-code.

Full information must be provided when booking with completed DGD form. Normal lead time calculation does not apply. 

Charged as a supplement according to specified price list here.

Correct and complete dangerous goods forms must be received by us no later than the day of dispatch. A document (ex. PDF) needs to be sent by the consignor/customer for each shipment.

WE DELIVER ACCORDING TO YOUR NEEDS

Do you need to delay your planned delivery day for your partial truck load / LTL?

Then FDD is the perfect option for you. You can plan your delivery according to your needs, when you or your staff is available, when storage space is lacking and so on. You decide the delivery date yourself! The requirement is that the planned delivery must be a regular delivery day minimum plus 1-5 days.

With this option we strive to meet your need for a more flexible delivery date. Please remember that FDD is not a promised delivery time.

NOTIFICATION TO SELECTED CONSIGNOR

With pre advice you as a consignor make sure that the consignee will be available to receive the shipment on the selected time for delivery. This is an easy way for both parties to minimize unnecessary costs associated with deliveries.

You choose the option Pre Advice when booking the transport. Remember to either enter a valid telephone number or email address and that the company has staff at the location.

For part loads with the option Pre advice the expected delivery time, (as calculated on here), will be affected. Expect minimum plus 1 day.

When delivering to a private individual, which requires a separate agreement, in addition to the surcharge, there is always a notification cost, regardless of whether this option is booked or not.

CUSTOMS HANDLING FULL SERVICE

Customs processing will be charged the sender for shipments to Norway or other customs duty zones. DHL helps you to register customs-specific data based on the submitted invoice documentation.

Sometimes, service are needed at the terminal which are not defined in our price list. We want to be flexible and meet the customer needs, but we also have our limitations.

So how do we go about it? Simple, you contact us with your questions, we evaluate your needs and present a solution with price if we can help you.

WE WILL SUPPLY YOUR PROOF OF DELIVERY

If you subsequently would like a paper receipt with delivery details about a shipment, we can arrange it through a copy of the wanted shipping document. This way you can find out who signed for the delivery etc. A POD hard copy can be ordered through our Customer service and is charged according to the price list.

Digital ePOD:
DHL Freight Euroconnect (LTL) and DHL Freight Eurapid be found through DHL Active Tracing and is handled free of charge (ePOD).

If information is missing it can be ordered through Customer service free of charge.

Tracking information is based on DHL:s scanning points and is sent to the given email-address and/or phone number. DHL is not responsible for information lost due to incomplete or wrong address or phone number.

WHEN YOU NEED A BIGGER TRAILER – A MEGATRAILER

DHL offers mega trailers for goods taller than the normal (2,65 m).

In a mega trailer you can load goods between 2,65 –2,99. An agreement of quantity and frequency is needed.

Each time you or your customers book SEND IT GREEN, you are buying shares in our overall capacity of CO2 reducing freight. The shares are not linked to any specific route. Instead, SEND IT GREEN enables us to replace a fossil transport section with vehicles running on renewable fuels, where they will have the most impact. The whole process, from production to sales, is verified by an independent party.

DO YOU HAVE THERMAL SENSITIVE GOODS?

Thermal transports are not standard for DHL Freight International. We need to handle every customer request separately. For some countries we can find a solution, others not. WHEN YOU NEED A TIME SLOT FOR YOUR LOADING/UNLOADING

Sometimes a scheduled loading or unloading is needed. This is a perfect option in environments that involves large shipping flow - for example if you (or your customers) are in a warehouse, on a construction site or for some other reason need a specific time when the transport needs to be in place.

In short, this option means that your shipment will be loaded or unloaded on a set time or within an agreed time slot a specific day.

We offer this option both in the morning and in the afternoon during regular working hours 07:00 – 17:00.

The option does not apply on Friday afternoon or the day before a holiday, where an agreement need to be made on a case-by-case basis. Our differing prices in the morning and afternoon depend on our need to optimize time wise and be able to plan for the next transport.

Sometimes extra capacity is needed in the form of, for example, storage for a shorter period and / or a storage trailer to be able to load and unload based on need.

We always do our utmost, but sometimes the unforeseen occur that involve loss or damage to goods. Our liability does not always cover the full value of the goods.

With DHL Cargo insurance, you have a reliable full-value insurance with extra security without deductible. This means that you can feel safe sending goods with DHL Freight.
