DHL eCommerce Establishes Strategic Engineering Partnership With Georgia Tech

• Agreement marks first formal U.S. university partnership for DHL eCommerce, securing a strategic engineering recruitment pipeline
• Collaboration includes a Senior Design project focused on optimizing DHL’s operations and customer experience

DHL eCommerce has announced a gold sponsorship with the Georgia Institute of Technology’s H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE) through the ISyE Partners Program. The partnership is designed to bridge academic research and industrial application, establishing a talent pipeline from the nation's top-ranked industrial engineering program according to U.S. News & World Report (2025).

The one-year sponsorship includes the opportunity for DHL eCommerce representatives to attend ISyE Advisory Board Meetings, career fairs, and other recruitment events, while also gaining access to a Senior Design Team that will work on real-world engineering challenges impacting DHL’s operations and customer experience. Four soon-to-graduate industrial engineers are expected to join DHL eCommerce in the summer of 2026 in Operations Industrial Engineer I roles within the company’s four-level engineering program.

“DHL eCommerce has given me the opportunity of growing professionally since I joined 2.5 years ago as an industrial engineering graduate from Georgia Tech. I started as an Operations Industrial Engineer level I and recently got promoted to level III, having the chance of gaining experience while continuously expanding my expertise,” said Gabriel Larios, Operations Industrial Engineer III. “It has been an incredibly rewarding journey in which I have learned a lot from the members of the engineering group as well as other departments.”

DHL eCommerce has previously collaborated with other public ivy league and prestigious research schools across the country to identify top engineering talent. DHL began working with Georgia Tech seniors in January 2025 on real-world design projects focused on developing a large-package rack system prototype and a long-range planning tool to aid in decision-making for outbound and inbound package lifecycles.
