iCargo: Digital Booking Takes Flight
DHL Aviation cargo customers are set to have their shipment booking experience elevated with the introduction of iCargo.
The modern, integrated system will transform how DHL Aviation handle capacity, allocation and bookings – in turn improving the experience for our valued customers.
iCargo, which will replace the current booking system (CMS), has many useful booking and capacity benefits that put the GSA or direct customer in control, including:
- Easy to navigate – very user friendly
- Route visibility – only see what is available
- Commodities carried – listed using IATA special handling codes
- Spot rates – option to submit spot rate requests
- Rates – visibility on contract rates
- Booking validation – factors in embargoes, restrictions and aircraft compatibility
- Confirmed status – reserved capacity, only pending further evaluation for RCG
UAT testing gets underway soon and, aligned to that, business partners and customers will be made aware of training tools before a project pilot and then full roll-out by the end of the year.
