In order to align with international standards and enhance trade facilitation for shipments entering Qatar, the Qatar General Authority of Customs (QGAC) have mandated that effective January 1st, 2025, the Harmonized System (HS) code standard for Qatar will change from an 8-digit HS code to a 12-digit HS code.
The change requires that the shipper should provide a valid Qatar12-digit HS code when shipping to Qatar.
- Business-to-Business (B2B) Import Shipments (for shipments from Rest of World to Qatar)
- Business-to-Consumer (B2C) Import Shipments (for shipments from Rest of World to Qatar)
- Consumer-to-Consumer (C2C) Import Shipments (for shipments from Rest of World to Qatar)
為避免貨件延遲，建議寄件人應：
- 在透過DHL Express電子運輸解決方案建立運往卡達的貨件時，以電子形式向DHL提供有效的卡達12位數HS Code。
- 透過DHL Express電子運輸解決方案，須以電子形式提供完整且準確的商業發票資訊，例如：商品描述、逐項價值、原產地等。
若寄件人在透過DHL電子運輸解決方案建立貨件時，未向DHL Express提供有效的卡達12位數HS Code ，可能會因此而導致清關延誤。
