Whether you’re sending or receiving a shipment, it’s important to make sure the other party isn’t on a denied parties list. These are individuals or organizations restricted by government authorities from participating in international trade. Shipping to or doing business with them isn’t allowed, so a quick check can save you from serious issues later on.
Even though it seems unlikely that the other party would be denied shipping privileges, once customs identifies the party as being on one of these lists, your shipment is stopped for further review.
