Early on in the year, DHL Express added six Citroën ë-Dispatch electric panel vans to their fleet. The Citroën ë-Dispatch van, which was released in November 2021, is driven by an all-electric, zero-emissions powertrain and clever technology that provides increased convenience and environmental friendliness. The vehicle is projected to aid DHL Express in achieving significant reductions in both carbon emissions and operating costs. It also closely aligns with the organization’s Mission 2050 which aims to have zero emissions by the year 2050. To quote Christopher Ong, the Managing Director of DHL Express Singapore, “There has been a noticeable change in EV viability in real-world operations since DHL Express Singapore deployed its first electric vehicle in 2019.” DHL Express is all set to leverage the benefits offered by Citroën ë-Dispatch in order to speed its GoGreen road to zero emissions by 2050. The new revolution brought by Electric Vehicles

d. 80% of employees to be certified as GoGreen experts.

In line with DHL’s “Mission 2050”, Singapore too unveiled its Green Plan 2030.

Singapore's Green Plan 2030

Singapore began its environmental journey even before the term "climate change" became popular. By bringing nature closer to the people and implementing new sustainability programmes, life in Singapore is projected to be greener by 2030.   • This initiative will help combat CO2 levels by sequestering another 78,000 tons of carbon dioxide and providing cleaner air and more shade.

Energy Reset

  • One of the primary goals of this pillar is to promote sustainable fuels for overseas trade and travel.
  • All new taxi and car registrations must have cleaner-energy models from 2030 onwards.
  • Increasing the network of electric vehicle charging points to 60,000 by 2030.

Sustainable Living

  • Singapore to redesign its way of living by preserving the natural resources and energy while also keeping the environment clean.
  • To reduce the amount of garbage discharged to landfill per inhabitant per day by 20% by 2026, with the goal of reaching 30% by 2030.
  • To reduce total carbon emissions from schools by two-thirds by 2030.

Green Economy

  • The key target of this plan is to seek out additional green opportunities in order to increase job creation, restructure industries and use sustainability as a strategic advantage.
  • Additionally, to make Singapore a hub for carbon services as well as a leading centre for Green Finance in Asia and globally.

Resilient Future

  • This pillar focuses on protecting Singapore's coastlines from rising sea levels and improving food security.
  • By 2030, Singapore to produce 30% of the city’s nutritional needs by growing the agri-food industry through important strategies such as land and sea space development.
