What is GoGreen Plus?
GoGreen Plus is a DHL Express solution that lets businesses contribute to cutting the carbon emissions of their shipments. When you join, DHL channels funds into buying and using sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
SAF is a biofuel produced from renewable sources and can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80% compared with fossil fuels. Even if your shipment does not fly on an aircraft running on SAF, your participation helps fund the use of this fuel across the DHL network.

How does GoGreen Plus work?
DHL Express offers two ways to use GoGreen Plus.
Option 1: on a contract basis
With a DHL account and contract, your business tailors its GoGreen mix. The basic GoGreen option includes CO₂e reduction levels of up to 70%. With a tailored SAF investment contract, the reduction can reach 80% compared with fossil fuels. An independent auditor verifies the reduction values every year.
With the basic contract, your business invests in CO₂ reduction (insetting) across all its international air express shipments. Alternative reduction levels and CO₂e WTW emission reports are only available on a contract basis.
Option 2: one shipment at a time on MyDHL+
If you ship through MyDHL+, as a guest or with an account that has no GoGreen Plus in its contract, you can add GoGreen Plus to any individual shipment, with a standard CO₂e reduction of around 30%. It is a good fit for small and medium-sized businesses and e-commerce companies with smaller loads.
How do you add GoGreen Plus to a shipment?
- On MyDHL+: when you create your shipment on MyDHL+, add GoGreen Plus to it.
- On a contract: talk to your DHL Express sales representative or fill in the form on the DHL Express Brazil GoGreen Plus page (in Portuguese).
